![]() | After dinner hike?Walking to or from St. Geniez d'Olt takes about 2 hours along this path (8.3 km: Strava GPS ), with some nice views of Pomayrols and other small towns along the way. The paths/dirt roads are quite wide and easy to find, so this is doable with a mountain/gravel bike. We also enjoy walking this at night, especially when the moon is out, and after a long dinner in St. Geniez d'Olt. The climb out of St. Geniez d'Olt is quite steep (and along a road), so catching a ride to Combatalade and starting from there (Map) is a popular option. |
![]() | Palm Tree WalkThis short walk (2.9km: Strava GPS ) takes you past meadows, along a narrow trail to the nearby village of Le Bez and then back home along the road. Cows, sheep, and goats are the primary users of this route, so step aside when you see them coming. (Doable on a good mountain bike, but the trail is narrow and has steep drop-offs in places) |
![]() | Canet d'OltThis hike (6.5 km: Strava GPS) first takes you along the road to Le Bez and then along beautiful treelined dirt roads to Canet d'Olt, and then back up the mountain. The views of the valley are wonderful, and the two villages are interesting to explore (no shops or bars!). You can extend your walk by taking a detour (on the road) to circle around the village of Marijolet and then back to this route. (Steep, but also doable on a mountain bike.) |
